KUSC-5037 is a potent HIF-1 inhibitor (IC50=1.2 μM). KUSC-5037 inhibits mitochondrial respiratory complex V and FoF1-ATP synthase[1].

体外研究
(In Vitro)

Under hypoxic conditions, KUSC-5037 suppresses the HIF-1α mRNA, causing decreases in the gene expression of HIF-1 target genes such as carbonic anhydrase 9 (CA9) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) genes[1].
KUSC-5037 exhibits cell growth inhibitory activity with IC50 values of 34.5 μM and 0.6 μM against human cervical cancer HeLa S3 cells and fibrosarcoma HT1080 cells, respectively[1].
